Responsible for greeting visitors and delivering exceptional customer service assistance.
This entails answering calls, addressing visitor questions, and providing an overall welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors in a warm and friendly manner, and answer any questions they may have
  • To ensure that calls are answered and directed in a prompt, efficient and professional manner

Work Location: One location

Position Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for the facility operations of Bayfront and Maurice A. Ferré Parks. This includes monitoring park activities, enforcing City rules, regulations, codes, and ordinances; resolving disputes or conflicts among park patrons; and maintaining the facilities.

Duties are as follows:

  • Report to the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Be always courteous to colleagues and visitors.
  • May spray foliage and lawns for weed control.
  • Mow sod, blowing, edging, weeding, planting trees, shrubbery; hedge trimming and operating the necessary equipment to perform the work.
  • Paint interior and exterior of park structures as needed.
  • Assist electrician as needed.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs to include plumbing, electrical, painting, and mechanical, etc. (e.g. replace light bulbs, repair fixtures, snake drains, replace defective switches or fuses). Possess enough general knowledge to recognize and resolve any emergency situation, with regard to maintenance (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Ability to work a varying schedule of hours, to include nights, weekends, holidays season and hurricane season preparations.
  • May need to pick up and discard dead animals, and remove shopping carts according to Park’s policy
  • Pick up papers, trash, and debris at Bayfront and Maurice A. Ferré Park.

  • Possess a valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Be able to lift heavy equipment approximately 20 to 40 pounds.
  • Perform as Parking Attendant as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Summary

Looking for Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments, analyzing financial reports, contract requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.
Experience / familiar with QuickBooks Pro.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full cycle of accounting experience with QuickBooks Pro
  • Apply accounting principles
  • Post journal entries
  • Create and update invoices
  • Perform Account and Bank reconciliation
  • Prepare payment reports for monthly sales and parking surcharges
  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
  • Reconcile event settlement with event coordinator
  • Prepare deposit slips and make bank deposits
  • Assist with documents and information during the yearly audit
  • Assist in the preparation of fiscal year budget
  • Review parking operation reports – i.e. Ticketing
  • Attend monthly board meeting

Skills / Experience / Education

  • Possess an associate degree or a minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish a plus.
  • Be proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
