Jiménez Deredia in Miami

A Bridge of Light
October 12, 2022 – March 31, 2023

Acclaimed Costa Rican sculptor, Maestro Jiménez Deredia, turned Miami into ‘A Bridge of Light’.

This is the title of his exhibition brought to South Florida, on October 12, 2022. Fourteen of his monumental sculptures adorn the breezy walkways of the Maurice A. Ferre Park in Downtown Miami – transforming the park into an open and inclusive outdoor museum until March 31, 2023.

Jiménez Deredia is considered one of the most successful and well-known Hispanic plastic artists worldwide for his ability to fuse classical sculptural tradition with elements of Mesoamerican culture; besides being the first Latin American artist to place one of his works in the Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican.
